1. So last week was AWFUL! The hubs had something every day after school, like not getting home until around 6 or 7 most nights. Meetings, church dinners, football...it was a long week. Plus W only went to MDO on Wednesday since Monday was a holiday. That means that I was at home with him 24/7. I love my baby so, so much, but sometimes you just need some adult conversation. Do you know where I go when I need that? Walmart. Sad huh?
So I was feeling pretty bad for myself last week, and a friend of mine was also having a pretty crap-tastic week herself. She had a pretty bad set of dates/events with a guy. It didn't end well (boys are stupid!). Not that I would trade my kid(s) or husband or for anything, and not that she would want them. But what I wouldn't give to switch with her and have a house to myself for a couple of days, and she can come try to figure out my crazy life for me. Sounds like a good plan, right?
Sometimes we see that empty house as an oasis and other times a curse.
2. Every night when I go to lock the door before bed it makes me sad. I'm used to letting Tiger out one last time and then locking the door.
I miss all those little things about her.
3. Have y'all heard Taylor Swift's new song? "We're never, ever, ever, EVER (x1,000) getting back together!" Can anyone explain to me why someone would want to date her? I mean, yeah, I get that she's gorgeous, famous, rich, blah, blah. But really? All she's going to do is write a nasty song about you when you breakup. She's only, what 22? And she's had a long string of men.
I say she's dated men, the latest I would classify only as a boy.
4. So my oldest niece, Nee, is getting her own bedroom. Her mom asked for my advice on it. Since she and I have totally different taste I doubt much of my influence will be included, but it was fun to dream. I asked her if Nee and I could have $300 and a weekend to design her room, she laughed at me.
I'll be sending her links to inspiration pics in the next few days.
5. Never fails that when W tries to help me type, HE ALWAYS HITS THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON.
SERIOUSLY, ALWAYS!
